If you aren’t enrolled to vote yet, please enrol. You’ll need 5-minutes, a device with internet access and a Driver’s License. The video below shows you how. If you are enrolled, find someone living here or overseas who isn’t enrolled and awhi them to enrol. Don’t just tell them to do it. Show them how. The Māori population is much younger than the general population and only 60% of 18-24 year olds are enrolled. So tens of thousands of young Māori are not having their say. The same is true for whānau living overseas. Over 170,000 Māori live in Australia alone but only 9,000 Māori electors living overseas are on the Māori roll.
